Future Leaders Exchange student from Tajikistan with his community coordinator in Ohio
Farhod poses with his community coordinator Fariba Kazemi.

My Terrific Coordinator

I want to write about my coordinator Fariba Kazemi. Since we got here, she has always taken care of us. The first meeting at her house was a memorable experience for me. She invited all of the students; we met each other and did some enjoyable activities together.

She always supports us, offers help, and posts important things related to us on Facebook. She always checks and lets us or our host families know what she is doing. She always cares about our health, security, school, and host families.

Our meeting in High Banks Park was one of my most wonderful weekends. Students with their host families came, and I gave my first presentation about my country. That also gave me a chance to meet host parents and share my culture.

The next meeting in Deer Creek State Park was one of my best experiences in USA. We went for the day, and it was memorable and enjoyable. We exchange students spent the day hiking, swimming, playing board games, and playing tennis. My friend from Kyrgyzstan and a host parent brought guitars, so we all sat around the campfire and sang songs. Thanks a lot to her for providing such memorable events.

I want to say, “Fariba Kazemi, you are the best coordinator. I am proud of having such a great coordinator and being your student. We are all your kids—Fariba’s kids.”

I also want to say thank you to PAX for supporting us!
